TAMARA COLEMAN: A Winter With Flowers

join us this saturday for A Winter With Flowers, a solo show by Tamara Coleman.

Tamara Coleman (born 1985), a Dallas native, graduated from Scripps College, a member of the Claremont Colleges, in 2008, majoring in Studio Art and Art History. While she
has had her work displayed at the Dallas Museum of Art, the Museum of the Art Institute
of Chicago, the Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery and Bows and Arrows, this exhibition, A Winter With Flowers, marks her very first solo show.

Tamara currently lives and works in Dallas. A Winter With Flowers explores the perceptual power of repetition, the sublime quiet within moments of complete isolation
and the anthropological aspects within such seemingly insensate patterns and occurrences.

While most of Tamara’s artistic practice has encompassed an apocalyptic story, highlighting moments that are at once beautiful and daunting as they display an opposition of timelessness and mortality, this show rounds the bend accentuating the possibility of life within extinction.
